I’m at the restaurant right now, and Monday at 5:00 PM is the perfect time to visitβ€”no crowds. The flavors are good, so why 3 stars? If you are from Ecuador or Peru, the "crab rice" tastes just like a chaulafan. It doesn't really taste like crab; it’s basically just a good chaulafan. For the price, a dish like this just isn't worth it. ($23 + tax + tip) Here, you’re paying for the ocean view and the experience of eating right by the waterβ€”if that's what you're looking for, it's worth it. The flavors are fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Also, there are way too many mosquitoes, which makes it hard to eat in peace. Tip: If you’re not from Peru or Ecuador and want to try chaulafan, order the crab rice

Some restaurants serve great food. Others create memories you’ll keep talking about long after you leave. The Lobster in Santa Monica is definitely one of those places. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location overlooking the Santa Monica Pier is absolutely stunning, especially as the sun begins to set over the Pacific. But as incredible as the view is, the food is what truly makes this restaurant special. A huge congratulations to Chef Govind Armstrong for putting together such an exceptional menu. Every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. You can tell there’s real passion and craftsmanship behind every plate, making each course feel like a special experience. And we have to give an enormous shout-out to Andrew for delivering some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced in Los Angeles. His attention to detail, genuine kindness, and expert recommendations made our evening even more memorable. He made us feel like valued guests from beginning to end, and every recommendation he gave was spot on. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the view all come together s

Thanks for the great service Andrea! We had a great corner table, the restaurant also allowed the kids to eat off the happy hour menu even though we were in the main restaurant (don't plan on this because it was a big favour and not really an option but they were super kind and honoured it due to a mix up). The food was amazing. I had the mix grill, you can also order the half lobster too. We had chips, smashed burgers, some sides too. Overall a really nice dinner in a great location with a super friendly service.

Had an awesome experience at The Lobster in Santa Monica. The drinks were great, the appetizers were excellent, and our entrees were outstanding. On top of the food, the service really made the experience even better. Andrew was extremely polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about every item on the menu. He gave great recommendations and also shared a lot of information about the Santa Monica area, which made the whole night feel much more personal and welcoming. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area. Great food, great atmosphere, and fantastic service all around.

Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 This is my absolute favorite spot for grilled lobster; this place is on my rotation and it can be my final meal!! I love their grilled lobster that much!! They have impeccable service, delicious food; flavorful and seasoned perfectly on everything. Today, I was starstruck when I finally got to meet the star of the show, reknowned Chef Govind Armstrong, who personally served me my half grilled lobster!! He has a great personality and it was wonderful talking to him. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here, but my favorites are: Grilled lobster, which comes with garlic butter and lemon wedge. When I do come with a friend, we share a whole grilled lobster, but when I come solo, I usually get their half grilled lobster. I also get their crab fried rice and calamari. It all goes well together and it's delicious!! Also, the view is spectacular, you can see the Santa Monica pier and the beach. Come and try them out, like the Rockstar Eater, Steven Cha. This is a 101 year old iconic restaurant that serves up locally grown seasonal ingredients. Highly recommended!! Thank you Chef and the team for your excellent memor
